Support Worker Role

Job description

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live independently, achieve personal goals, and enjoy a good quality of life.

You will provide compassionate, person-centered care and practical assistance tailored to each individual’s needs in their home or community setting.

Responsibility

  • The applicants should have experience in the following areas.
  • Provide physical, emotional, and social support to individuals based on their care plans.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting, if required.
  • Support daily living activities including meal preparation, medication administration, and household chores.
  • Promote independence and encourage participation in community activities.
  • Build trusting relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Monitor and report changes in service users' health or behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The applicants should have experience in the following areas.
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient nature
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, or night shifts.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience in a similar role as an added advantage
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS (or background) check.
